NBCUniversal/Samsung Tonight at the Rock in Fortnite

Background: We created a new, innovative way for fans to engage both with The Tonight Show and Samsung. Because it’s not just about watching the show with product placement, but really playing the show by bringing it and all the fantastical characters, bits, and games to the metaverse.

Approach & Solution: With a little help from JImmy Fallon, we launched the map and games in Fortnite’s creative hub and have seen a whopping 34K game plays on our highest day (that’s double what we typically see for non-combat games).

And while Epic changed the way they promote creative hub maps between Super Bowl 2020 and today.

The biggest “win” for the experience is the duration of gameplays at over 10 minutes. And the gamer community loves the work - so as we collect social listening metrics the overwhelming sentiment is positive.
